The report page gives you an overview of all the pages in the current scope. By default it’s set to report on all the pages we found when crawling your site, but you can also generate a report for any group of pages.
Many of the data points shown on the report are interactive. For example, clicking on the number of broken links will open a list of all the pages found containing broken links. Anything on the report shown in blue is clickable.
If you’d like to generate a report for just part of a website, start by navigating to the inventory and creating a group from those pages. Once you’ve created a group from the pages you want to report on, navigate back to the report and select your group from the scope control at the top of the page. A new report will be displayed containing only data from pages in the selected group.
Share your reports
You can share your reports outside of Content Auditor by clicking the “share” button in the top right and toggling “Report sharing” on. This will reveal a URL you can view without being signed into Content Auditor. This is useful when you’re working on an audit for a client, or want to share results with team members who don’t have Content Auditor accounts. Note that shared reports are not interactive. You can also print the report page to get your results in a printer-friendly format.
Customize your reports
You can customize both the content and the appearance of your shared reports. You can toggle off entire sections of the report, which is handy when sharing reports with people who are only concerned with specific types of data. Paid accounts have the abilitiy to customize the look of your shared reports. You can upload a logo, set key colours, and choose from a number of fonta to get your reports looking on brand. Changes you make to the content and appearance only apply to shared reports - the look of your in-app reports won’t change.
